Outdoor Adventures

Cumberland is the only town where two of America's great long-distance trails meet: Mile 0 of the Great Allegheny Passage to Pittsburgh and Mile 184.5 of the C&O Canal Towpath to Washington, D.C. Allegany County adds nearly 70,000 acres of public land.

150-mile rail-trail to Pittsburgh. Favorite day rides: 6 miles to the Brush Tunnel, or take the train up to Frostburg and coast 15 miles home. Check trail alerts before you ride.
